>>53837421I think I'm going to cut off the story here since, considering where I took it, nothing really interesting happens from here on out
Winston kind of just heads north to Opelucid and settles down there to get a grip on Mavis and live a normal life
that, and I'm pretty burnt out
besides, it's hard to keep a story intact when you only have two central characters to it and 1) one doesn't speak 2) they both hate each other 3) the dynamic doesn't fit into the preestablished mold that these stories often sort of have to and 4) character death is simultaneously so common it's comical
so instead I shall revert to the usual way of recapping things
anyways-
I'm still kind of struggling so far. For some reason at least half of my encounters have been fucking water types, still, and (again) only the worst of them. That Politoed has Damp, no STAB and a bad nature, the Luvdisc is a Luvdisc, and the Krabby is probably the best of the bunch (Shell Armor with Adamant and Likes to Thrash About. unfortunately, it is still a physical water type with dogshit level-up moves)
I got the Yanma from that egg on Route 17, but I really really don't like Yanma specifically because of one I had in the past so the moment I got Sectonia I boxed it at the speed of light.
Right now I'm just focusing on going through the game, because if I stop to grind anymore I think I'll end up dropping this and forgetting about it. I don't want to do that, so I continue.
Mei-Mei was an odd encounter. I found her as a Klang, which is weird since I met every other current member in their first stage, while backtracking for HM stuff I couldn't get to before (which is also how I got so many more encounters). Never thought I'd have her on my team and I still don't know whether she's permanent. She is for the time being, though.
Might end up just trying to use as many high-level evolvers as I can since I tweaked the Randomizer's setting to let me use them early. I don't think I've ever used any.
