For starters, Team Aqua was the best 'villainous' team... and I use that term lightly considering Archie, a man of profound wisdom, simply wanted to assist the planet, and all lifeforms subsequently, by adding more water, which is the giver of all life.
Without water, life cannot exist; Archie knew this and wanted to expand on it. He was misunderstood, as great a man he was.
