note how my starter hasn't been getting much EXP because it's been barely useful in battle and doesn't have a real role besides chaff to switch into so I can heal/revive more useful party members
meanwhile, Frigid is a special sweeper that can setup webs, Chompy has access to priority moves and good ghost STAB, Goku's paralysis capabilities help with further speed control, Guts can boost his attack massively and cleave through anything without a retarded defense stat, and Dwain is going to be useful for berry removal and smacking down flying types
