I remember going to some videogame store in the mall when Pokemon Stadium 2 released. They had pic related and I got so excited when I saw the sign that said it was free, until the clerk explained that it was free with the collector's edition of the game or something. But since I was so excited he gave one to me anyway and that was just a really big deal to me. The actual poster got really beat up over the years so some years back I bought a new one to replace it.
Also remember when my family has a japanese foreign exchange students stay with us. At the time Pokemon still hadn't been around for long so I hadn't learned all of their names yet. I had some japanese cards and I wanted her to tell me their names. I didn't know the names were different from english nor did I realize a normal person might have trouble figuring out how to pronounce them, so I was confused with the answers she gave me.
