Game Freak has unlimited resources at their disposal, but pic related is what they come up with. Each release is plagued with retarded decisions like:
>Randomly getting rid of popular features, gimmicks, or QoL. For example Battle Frontier, following Pokemon, Mega Evolution, etc.
>Releasing a game without including all the Pokemon, thus invalidating the entire point of the franchise (gotta catch 'em all) and pissing off fans
>Shitty graphics, slow and outdated gameplay, just embarrassingly poor quality all around
>Frustrating design philosophies like "kids don't enjoy hard games these days" and "players prefer to not have the choice of turning XP share off"
So what the fuck is the excuse? Is Game Freak just an incompetent dev company that struck gold? Being a fan of this franchise is like being a battered wife, I'm fucking sick of it.
