If I hatch a shiny/get a low level shiny, it's a fantastic member for a future playthrough. As for comp, I could not care less about it. I just like hunting pokemon I like, and I like a lot of pokemon. Some person always comes into the threads going "why not just inject" but if you're going to make everything shiny, then what's the point of even having it shiny?
That and I like getting some of the rarest shinies I can get ahold of for bragging rights.
