Like when you copy+paste a google image of something and you try to fill color around it or something and there's that crap all around it, making it unusable. But if you save as a png, it will be like the pic on the right, able to be transparently copy+pasted wherever you want. Which is especially helpful when you're using mspaint for drawing or whatever and are moving things around and filling colors, etc.
