So after hearing about and avoiding Nuzlockes for ages I've finally decided to give it a try. XY, without exp share.
Here's my progress so far:
>Starter - Fennekin, nicknamed Netscape
>Route 1 - Pidgey. Encountered before obtaining pokeballs, fainted.
>Route 2 - Pansear. Captured (begrudgingly), nicknamed Mojo Jojo.
>Route 3 - Dunsparce. Almost KO'd Mojo Jojo with Rollout. Ran away to fight another day.
>Route 4 - Bunnelby. Wasn't paying attention, too focused on grinding for Viola's gym. Fainted. Netscape evolves into Braixen after much grindan.
>Santalune Gym - Mojo Jojo almost KO'd once again, this time by Youngster David's Ledyba. Braixen easily sweeps Viola's 'team'.
>Route 5 - Flabebe. Captured, nicknamed Rosette. Mojo Jojo is finally a high enough level to hold his own, especially with Incinerate. Netscape learns Psybeam. Exp. Share burned in a nearby trash can.
>Lumiose City - With her new move, Netscape makes mincemeat of Sycamore's team. Gifted Bulbasaur, nicknamed Dimitri.
All in all, a couple of close shaves so far but nothing too difficult. I suspect that'll change pretty soon though.
