It relies on the user's capability of identifying when to use its ability to swiftly change between use of the sword and the shield as depending on its stance either its killing power is immense at the cost of breaking from a breeze or vice versa. The shield has an ability referred to as High Country where it can specialize its defensive capabilities to reflect any particularly harmful attacks back to the enemy with a lower potency, but in exchange attacks or abilities that do not target the user or hinder the user's ability to fight in other ways will phase right through The Sword and its shield.
