Archie and Maxie when not in delusion over their dreams are pretty graceful losers, it even looks like they were to check on the protagonist after it defeats both of them since they think it's weird the protag is still wandering around instead of moving on. But that's when they saw each other and their autism kicked in. They didn't know they were working together, so their first reaction is to trashtalk each other and then battle.
