I forgot just how long it is between the 1st and 2nd gym in XY but I didn't want to post another update until after I beat it. I lost a few pokemon on the way including the ralts I was excited about, who died from a crit one win away from evolving. Also my pidgeotto died taking one for the team and giving me a free switch after it couldn't quite finish off Grant's tyrunt. At this point only half of my original team is intact but they are probably my best pokemon at the moment so I hope they stick around for a bit
