After receiving his starter Pokemon in Hoenn (Treecko) Grunt 777 tried the gym challenge and fails. He catches a Trapinch who takes a liking to him, but doesn’t have the skills to raise them in battle. He fails to obtain a gym badge for the 34th time he rage quits and takes the cheapest boat ride to a different region. After spending the remainder of money on the trip and filled with bitterness he joins Team Galactic. He fails to steal top level trainers pokemon but by a strike of luck he finds a trainer just starting out. He steals their Chimchar and after getting in the swing of it gets the rest of his team from unsuspecting trainers. Now after beating the Veilstone gym he spends his life flying around on his Flygon and occasionally steals a fledgling trainers starter pokemon for the kicks.
