I mean, it has been declared that the female protagonist exists mainly to be eye-candy. Why skip Iris in that behalf? Look at the flashback episode in which she's at school. There the writers did a somewhat acceptable role picturing her as a cute wild girl out of her comfort zone. Because they didn't follow that one of the few character developments Iris had became un-connected filler stuff.
