>>49811954To add onto this, the idea of unnatural Pokemon that seem manmade has been a thing since gen 1 (Grimer, Porygon, Magnemite, Gastly etc) which is why you're more likely to find them in or near cities compared to just wild grass.
So it's not a new concept restricted to a certain gen.
