Leon isn't such a deep character, like every one of the game and serie, because writers don't give them enough space, but this doesn't mean he is a "bad" character. His writing is simple, with the quirk of his lack of sense of direction, there is something deeper about him, like the relief after being defeated, because how much he was feeling "oppressed" for the responsibility of being such a long lasting champion, how much he has to give to his region and the people, while all he wanted was to grow strong trainer and we see him doing that after his defeat.
You're just going against him and labelling everyone who finds him a good character as "fujo", like if there is something wrong. I don't know what's actually pushing you to do this, there are other bad character in the game, like Hop. Go against him, but don't go against one character which is actually good in both design and personality. Don't let me defend this game ever again, thank you.
