-Make an option to disable jump scares at the beggining, like some kind of question, some earthbound shit like "do you like being surpised"
Because even if this game has an horror theme to it, i don't think jumpscares in a pokemon game of all sorts work, there's many ways to disturb the player, and that's a really cheap one.
-Turn the images of the haunted pokemon or whatever into sprites, they look good, but they look off compared to a sprite based deck
