This conclusion is from me breaking down that the story was basically splitting the two halves of the standard pokemon plot; "The hero and the champion" - a person that stops the villainous group and the other that takes on the league challenge. Dawn's 'heroism' is cobbled together by theft and her image is a literal sham, and Dusk failed the league by getting his dumb ass arrested and loses everything for it. Of course it's not like that even matters. Shiny bad and you should feel bad. Boob evil.
I won't lie tho, my characterization could use some work. I made the characters originally at a much later place in their story, so things have gotten shamefully sloppy for it.
