Added Coco the Shiny Exeggutor to the team after all, I think she fits on the team nicer than Solrock anyway. Ninjask swept another gym as Ramos is an absolute joke (and the team Flare boss fight even more so).
Clement actually took me by surprise though. Magneton set up Electric Terrain on the turn I used Dig, and the thunderbolt I took on surfacing just melted Highbrow the Furfrou. Worst loss of the run so far, I loved Furfrou (and I just paid for her new hairdo). I'm also kinda embarassed to lose anything to an XY gymleader at this point in the run.
I'll see about her replacement after I get the next encounter.

FRLG doesn't hold back on the selfdestructs in the midgame. Starmie is amazing though, prepare to be carried by it.

Another rule I've enjoyed before is to lock party slots, where you're not allowed to box anything once added to the team until it dies. Mono-type nuzlockes are also fun.
