I knew about Pokemon for a while but actually never got into the series until BW. At the time, Pokemon was considered to be for nerds and losers, so I avoided it out of peer pressure. But then, I became more interested in Pokemon after seeing one person playing BW on their DS. So, then there was this McDonalds promo for BW and when I went to get a Happy Meal, I got this Tepig toy along with a card. That's when I decided to play Pokemon and I promised myself to catch Tepig when I get it. Little did I know that Tepig was actually a starter pokemon and that you don't actually start the game with a Pikachu. So, the rest was history.
