>>13955710its about nostalgia. its a psychological thing probably for 90's boys. i remember when i was a kid, pokemon came out when me and everyone in my generation was going through freud's phallic stage of psychosexuality. subconsciously we all wanted to compete for who was better. pokemon stepped into our lives as a way to convey that message. so we all picked the manliest pokemon we could find like charizard, gyarydos, rhydon, ect. however, when we, the "charizard generation" look back at pokemon, we still love it and enjoy it but our hearts will always have a place for charizard. hes our friend that is a reflection of what we as kids aspired to be.
