If X/Y sells well for 3DS, maybe they'll put some time into putting them out there on the Virtual Console... The problem is, what's the point of playing pokemon if you can't battle or trade with your friends? They'd have to re-build all of the link trade features in all three generations of the games, and that's a lot of effort.
