it seems like hints point towards an alternate universe sinnoh. where we begin our fuckery with time.
in the gen 4 remakes, we go back in time and (team galactic?) introduces the UB's to the past universe, ala "cell"-type scenario (this is where necrozma comes in to play, as he's been buried in alola for centuries).
and because of this, this begins the initial split in time. seems like some games we played are part of the true timeline and some are part of the butterfly effect split timelines, in which there are many.
gen 4 remakes will allow us to bend the laws of time and space to once again reach those untainted parts of previous games. and maybe, just maybe, we'll finally return to the battle frontier.
