Let's pretend for a sec that Movie 16 was the nostalgia-fest everyone thought it would be and had a Shudo-like writer. What would you change about the movie to make it such?
>Femtwo replaced with Original Mewtwo. Masachika Ichimura reprises his role in Japanese, and either Dan Green or a replacement voices him in English.
>The English title is now "Mewtwo vs. Genesect: The Legend Awakened" because of no Mewtwo backlash.
>Instead of the Mewtwo prologue, we have a Genesect prologue similar to Oldtwo's origin. The Genesect are being created in a lab and being forced to serve Team Plasma. They end up destroying the lab, just like Mewtwo did. Red Genesect, being the most aggressive, plots to conquer the world and repopulate it with Genesect (similar to dub Mewtwo). His followers just want to remember who they are and break free of human control (similar to sub Mewtwo), but Red mind-controls them into following him.
>Mewtwo begins to react when the Genesect begin attacking the cloned Pokémon on his island and puts up a good fight, but barely survives his encounter with the five. He calls out to Ash telepathically so that the party can meet him.
>Mewtwo discovers a Mewtwonite Y at the beginning of the movie, but doesn't know how to use it. Later on, Ash discovers a Key Stone. During the final battle, Mewtwo is overpowered by the Genesect Army again, but Ash wishes for Mewtwo to get up and fight again, and his Key Stone causes Mewtwo to Mega Evolve and defeat the villains.
>When the party meets Mewtwo, Ash briefly explains Mewtwo's history to Cilan and Iris (and by extension, the kiddies in the audience).
>Near the middle of the movie, Mewtwo has a vision of Amber and wonders if she's real or not. He asks her if she can help the Genesect understand the value of life, but she vanishes before their conversation can finish.
