giovanni was surprisingly straightforward. i expected mega kangaskhan and ground/rock types, so i prepared.
I lead with Viral, he leads with nidoking.
>Nidoking
Its Earth Powers do nothing and it drops to two Psychics.
>Kangaskhan
Unsurprisingly, mega. I'm expecting Power Up Punch shenanigans so I swap to Britta, who I didn't mention before but gets Dauntless Shield, Zamazenta's ability, in this hack. Very cool when paired with Body Press. Anyway Britta tanks a Fake Out and two Body Slams, Iron Defenses up and kills in one hit with Body Press.

I guess its special? I swap to Viral as it hits a critical Drill Peck. So I say fuck it and instead swap to Terry. It lands a critical Heat Wave (Super Luck + Scope Lens bs I guess) but Terry easily eats it and kills back in one Discharge.
>Rhyperior
Swap to Horace as it smashes me with a huge Fire Punch but respond back with a Petal Dance for the victory, and the Silph Scope.
Couple things to note: one, the Game Corner is open, and there's no coins in this hack. Everything is paid for in real cash. All the best TMs in the game are here, as well as several very strong Pokemon like the pseudos and Aegislash. Might grind for em, might not.
Two, after rescuing Mr. Fuji (which required a fight against a sort of Totem Alola-Marowak with +2 speed - it was really easy though as i had brought ivan up in levels to test the new level cap so nothing to say there) getting rid of the Snorlax does not allow you to go to Fuchsia. Instead it looks like I'm railroaded towards Saffron, and Silph Co. So rival next? I guess chuck is in the fighting dojo too.
