Bugs are wealk against Fire energy attack, thus a fist wrapped in Fire energy will deal SE damage to a Bug, due to its inherent weakness to Fire Type energy. Just as if that Bug type knows a Rock or Ground type move, it can return a SE hit, despite not being a Ground or Rock type.
