Yeah, when we reconnected at first as we were both leaving high school, he had said he was hoping it would be a cliched kind of "we're both single and try out a relationship and end up having a childhood friend romance" thing, but I was already in (and still am in) a serious relationship with my high school sweetheart. I felt kinda bad, but what can you do.
He's still totally my bro and he was cool about the whole thing. We just haven't spoken in a while or battled/traded with each other. So after seeing this and talking about this, I definitely do want to connect again. We've been friends for 20 years after all.
