I'm a huge Ghostfag, I love every Ghost Pokemon in the game and think it's by far the most consistently well-designed type. But Gengar is literally just a purple oval - which is probably why his Mega and GMax look like ass too, really what is there to work with to make a purple egg more interesting?
For what it's worth I tried quickly replacing his retarded smile with Haunter's mouth, and it immediately looks less disgusting. But the stupid stubby arms and legs still suck.
