Pokemon was always made with a more younger audience in mind. If you guys want difficult pokemon play something like a SMT or a romhack I guess.
I know poekmon doesn't cater to my age group and that's fine. I go in expecting a pretty easy just 7/10 game and that's fine honestly. It's normal that as you got older you wanted more from the series but you guys have to accept you aren't the audience thought about ever with pokemon really. You should know by now pokemon won't satisfy your need for difficulty and a more "mature" story, it always was and always will be a easy series that targets a younger audience.
