My honest opinion is no. Best Wishes was New Coke and it was the first one I didn’t like (I’ve been watching since the beginning). I got back into it half way through XY and I was very surprised by how good it was, and it was around then I started coming here. SM was New Coke II and unlike XY after BW, there’s been no reversal yet.
Out of the past 10, almost 11 years of the anime since BW episode 1 there’s been only 3 good years.
