>>53074720>contextin these past few days there has been theories involving Gimmighoul and Gholdengo's connection to the legendary quartet.
The Treasures of Ruin are based on the Four Perils of Chinese mythology but this theory also links them with the Five Phrases featuring fire, water, wood, metal or gold, earth. if the Treasures of Ruin represent these elements, Gholdengo would be the missing one which is metal/gold. Chien-Pao has to go in the 'water' slot but shhhh
Gimmighoul was born from 'passion that seeped into a coin' similar to how the Treasures of Ruin were born from human emotions inhabiting their respective treasures. Gimmighoul was also born around the same time the Paldean Empire's still around (1,500 years ago)
The dex numbers are odd this time around. Gholdengo is #1000 and the Treasures of Ruin come right after .
pretty cool headcanon. I doubt they'll actually do anything about it though we're done with the legendaries and the DLC might be about disk-kun
