It took 3 episodes in total for Ash to get the marsh badge after he first challenged Sabrina, which is the longest any Kanto badge has taken with runner up being Blaine's volcano badge which took 2 episodes. In the end he didn't really win against her and earned the badge just for making her (and in extension Kadabra) laugh which makes me kinda wonder if Sabrina was going to appear more after that.
