Pokemon, too, has gained its foothold within the last few gens with more cartoony and exaggerated monster designs. It has embraced this aspect and uses it perfectly.
Bruxish does indeed have a weird looking design, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'm not sure how you people are incapable of understanding that just because a design is weird or out there, it doesn't mean the design is bad.
