>>36628638I had this idea for a made-up region, but kind of lost interesting in it even though I still think it'd make for an entertaining game.
The whole game is one big Renaissance Fair/LARP with all the trainers playing the role of heroic adventurers, knights, princesses, magicians, and so on with all of the technology of the series painted up like supernatural fantasy stuff. "Puzzle boxes" instead of Poké Balls, a "summoning dimension" instead of your PC Boxes, Apothecary/Inn instead of Pokémon Center, etc. And the evil team along the way are just LARPers pretending to be the bandits and monsters and villains of the region, harassing you with the expectation that you'll get the better of them in the end. Gym Leaders are replaced by Dungeon Leaders who are effectively evil team admins, leading up to a battle with the Dark Lord and his sinister Elite Four at the end, with one talented trainer (you) becoming the Champion who "saves the day" in the end and defeats the villains.
Basically the entire thing would be a medieval fantasy take on the usual Pokémon tropes, and all the end of the world/legendary Pokémon melodrama would be played up as just part of the region-wide Renaissance Fair performance.
