All you have to do on a "Supporter" class Pokemon is take Exp Share and Buddy Barrier, avoid last hitting wild Pokemon, and use your abilities to help the team. Meanwhile barely anyone plays supports, and most people that do genuinely don't know what the fuck they're doing. Tanks are also just as braindead yet people fuck it up. You take Rocky Helmet, Assault Vest and Buddy Barrier on every "Defender" class Pokemon if you actually care about winning.
