only one with a better design is Noctowl, which is also 2 evo and Hoothoot was just a ball, as well as Talonflame just because of the typing/fire design
seems just like a lot of nostalgic hate
as for the ledgendaries there is nothing wrong with them, I see the Deer as being just as well designed as the Legendary Dogs
