The exploration in rse was one of my favorite parts. I'm okay with having mandatory event legendaries so long as the other legendaries are as obscure as the regis.
Pokemon is about the pokemon, but I think it's also about exploring new areas and having to hunt down and over come obstacles to find the more interesting pokemon. I miss the exploration and I hope SwSh has more of it.
