Now, if you go into a shiny portal you are guaranteed a shiny. Even if you save in front of the mon and reset, its always shiny. I've gotten a Medicham, a Yanmega and a Floatzel in the space of an hour. I soft reseted the floatzel twice, it was shiny all 3 encounters.
This is genuinely the "jumping the shark" moment for shinies

Since Emerald, the third/expanded versions have tended to be harder than the initial games.

Emerald’s harder Gym leader teams were literally a selling point.

While Platinum’s difficulty wasn’t a selling point or put into a specific mode, it IS harder than Diamond and Pearl.

Black and White 2 however literally introduced a challenge mode.

I feel like Gamefreak tries to market the third/expanded versions to wider audience at least a little, so it would be nice if they could re-introduce challenge mode or at the least add a tutorial skip. This might be the most far fetched thing on this list though, due to Gamefreak’s new mindset.

Wow, its almost as if games like Emerald and Platinum came out in a time where Nintendo hadn't embraced DLC (I don't even think DSI dlc was possible)

In this day and age its absolutely unacceptable for them to release a game with so little new content

All the other companies get blasted when they do it, why are we (as in you guys, not me) so quick to defend it?
