>>58224784It depends on what exactly you want to experience. While HGSS are near perfect remakes, they're still vastly different in terms of gameplay, story and more. Im not saying bad, im saying different. Remake Gen 2 is an amazing modern take while original Gen 2 is hooking and reeling you in. The bright colors, the animated sprites, the soundtrack, the sheer charm it emmits is enough for people and just keeps them interested after all these years, myself included.

Its funny because thats how the whole "Gen 2 was meant to be the last of the series" rumor was cemented, because of how balls to the wall they went with Gen 2 by adding all this content in the base game, all the extra benefits in Stadium 2 and the most impressive feat of all, the ability to connect ONLINE to trade, battle, view news and leaderboards, have your team be a challenge for other people, all in a handheld package smack dab in 2000 and freaking 1. The only real flaws are of technical nature but thankfully its not as severe as it was in Gen 1 so the experience remains as intented and shines through.
