>>40803037I'd like it if there were more Metal Coat esque evolutions, where you can change a pokemon's type by evolving it/levelling it up with a certain item. The fan-made pokemon tabletop rpg has something similar, where you can "type shift" a pokemon to change its type, and I feel like its a concept that could be used by more pokemon than just Eevee, Metal Coat evos and Regional variants. If giving all pokemon 16-17 different types and forms is too much effort, then it could at least be used to turn certain types into others to increase the number and diversity of certain types that are lacking.
>Turn grass types into fire types by giving them a Magmarizer>Turn water types into electric types by giving them an Electirizer>Turn normal types into fighting types by giving them a Lucky Punch>Turn ground and poison types into water types by giving them Mystic Water>Turn grass and normal types into rock types by giving them a fossil>Turn rock and normal types into steel types by giving them a Metal Coat>Turn water types into ice types by giving them Nevermelt IcePic related, a sprite I made for a typeshifted Fire-Steel Steelix that was gonna be used by one of the Elite 4 in a PTU campaign I was running that sadly disbanded.
