I and my sister (who I suppose are Jessie and James despite not looking like such) are joining Team Rocket. The Rocket hideout here is in the middle of the forest to hide from the police (even though it seems everyone in the adjacent town knows exactly where it is and one NPC says said town has the largest police force and they're always searching for Team Rocket).
My starter choices are Ekans/Koffing/Meowth, I went with the snek because wrap spam, rival went with Koffing, I spammed wrap and Koffing didn't get a single turn.
The tiles are different, to say the least. I've seen better, but I've seen worse too.
The region is a bit odd, too. Seems I'll be travelling underground or being warped from place to place, mission-style.
