Way I see it, this would give room for additional abilities and one more chances for less popular starters to rise up in competitive usage. As for the gender percentages, we’ve clearly been getting blatantly-gender starters, some looking masculine, some feminine, and some passing to be androgynous since Gen 5. The likes of Incineroar and Rillaboom and Chesnaught may stay mostly male, the likes of Delphox and Cinderace and Primarina mostly female, and the rest could be 50/50.
