No its a trash gen and gen 4's physical and special split was a far superior contribution to the series than anything gen 3 offered. It also introduced online battles and trading which was a godsend for dex filling and pushed the series in the right direction. Every gen has its errors but gen 3 is a shit stain comparatively.
