You know, when I posted those suggestions this morning, I didn't think it would devolve the way it did. I never meant them to be taken as some form of gospel set of rules, or even start an argument. All I wanted was to help create a process to facilitate even more art that everyone can agree with.
All that said, I still believe some form of guidelines could be established still, and only just that. I still think the ideas presented in the last thread are still salvageable to some degree. That said, I will present my own opinions on how it could "potentially" be done, if you are all so inclined to lend an ear to them. If not, we can just chuck it into the garbage bin and be done with it. Here they are as follows.
1. Artfag role call. (Namefags not required.) If they want to, an artist can advertise their services and their particular specialties. Based on that, the requester can build the specs to their request with such abilities in mind, and perhaps go a little further to challenge them if possible.
2. With regards to repeat requests, I would suggest that we try to keep them to every three to five threads if possible. If an artfag wants to tackle it, the request is dinged to alert said user that their request is being processed, thus preventing spam from clogging up further threads.
3, Finally, perhaps a curated art archive on imgur or something of the like where we gather the all the art produced by the artfags in the thread. The past couple threads have produced several excellent pieces, and to have them up for reference would be awesome if it can be done.
Thus, ends my suggestions for the day. Take it or leave it, just something to consider. We have a good thing going here, and I rather not lose the artfags that we still have to the void if we can help it. To those that draw, you are doing good work mates. Keep it up.
