Ribombee is very obviously a nature spirit and is associated with making sweet things from pollen. Slurpuff is similarly associated with lures and scents as a counterpart to the sweet-smelling Aromatisse. Azumarill, like some of the other grandfathered Fairies, is obviously not custom-made for the type but works for me in a similar way to Wigglypuff as a kind of demi-fey creature thanks to its slightly otherworldly/non-bestial appearance of cuteness and delicacy. Mr. Mime is similarly probably grandfathered in because of the association with crafting illusions.
