Kecleon has good special bulk, and the addition of a boosting move for its physical bulk along with Protean boosted attacks would do wonders for it's general viability.
Kecleon has access to Recover and a variety of other good physical move options, both priority (Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch) and non-priority (Drain Punch, all elemental punches, Knock Off, Aqua Tail).
A bulky set up set would be easy to pull off. All it needs is a move to boost it's stats in that direction. Bonus if it also gets something like Bullet/Mach Punch.
