(1/4) I'm working on my own fakemon region at the moment called the Picanti Region (a region consisting of Southern California, chunks of the Mojave Desert, and Northern Mexico), mostly as an excuse to actually learn to draw. I've made a few regional variants at this point, and I do have plans to add one or two more, but here's one of the first ones I did. The first 3 are hand-drawn but don't worry, I switch to digital later. Hopefully my progress is noticeable and the fakemon are at least cool conceptually!
I didn't give Picantian Machamp a dex entry initially, but basically their whole deal is that they got imported to assist with Miltank and Tauros cattle drives in the days when the Picanti Region was untamed. Their commune with the untamed wilderness allowed them to tap into their fighting aura, which they channel into steel finger caps to launch at foes like bullets. They have a deep sense of justice and, even though the cattle drives are over, they will still wander the desert helping to defend weak pokemon.
