Try hunting them down in mountain/hill walking trails and national parks. That said, I'm fortunate enough to have a regular spawn point close by.
For Snorlax, is very much am urban spawn so any place with Rattata, Pidgey, Sentret and Hoothoot, it'll spawn but that maybe to vague for you to pin point.
