I've always underrated Noctowl a lot since I was a kid. I always thought he wasn't worth the investment when there were so many other Pokemon who seemed to do his job better. While I won't admit he's top tier best Pokemon ever class, he still more than surprised me with his performance in my recent playthrough of Pearl and the few competitive battles I tried him out in NU/RU. I'd seriously assure you to get him another shot if you've tossed him aside like I had.
