Revered by most as a stalwart defender of peace, some rumors suggest shady dealings with various tycoons of the region.
Cobalt’s flagship is an experimental prototype—it was built as a mobile Power Spot, which allows Pokémon to Dynamax within its radius. Most notably, the Captain's Blastoise is capable of Gigantamaxing. He strategically uses its G-Max Cannonade to trap or sink enemy targets.
For trainers in the Nisso Region, Captain Cobalt commands one of the most elusive and punishing Gyms. His warship doubles as the arena, docking at ports on its own schedule—or vanishing back into open seas. Trainers must either be lucky enough to catch him in harbor or brave the Nissoan waters to track his flotilla down. Cobalt relishes the chase, and if a challenger fails? The fleet sails on, leaving them to hunt him all over again.
