Do you paint it all on one layer, or if not, how do you seperate them? By colour? Do you draw the outlines first and then colour in, or the other way around - or do you go back and forth all the time? And which program/brushes do you use?
I've tried this with SAI last night, using the standard 'Marker' brush and pic related. It either got too smudgy or not smudgy enough. (Your shading isn't smudgy, but I tried to go for that)
I know it sounds like I'm trying way too hard, and that's because I do. Sorry. It's a struggle for me to improve at all, even after 18 years of drawing.
